About Tool Cost Guide

A small independent resource for understanding software purchase costs.

Tool Cost Guide combines an editable cost calculator with focused buying guides. The first guides cover video editing software, with an emphasis on subscriptions, one-time licenses and optional expenses.

How the calculator works

It calculates cash paid over your selected number of months. Annual billing uses whole-year payments, including a full renewal when a new year begins. Monthly charges run for the selected number of months. One-time costs include the license and your planned paid upgrades.

All figures use US dollars. The calculator uses the amounts you enter; it does not fetch live prices or predict future price changes. It excludes tax, refunds, financing and any expenses you have not included. The lower total is not a product recommendation.

Our source standard

Product guides identify their region and platform, link to official price or support pages, and show a verification date. A dated advertised price is not a promise that an offer remains available. Final prices and terms belong to the vendor’s checkout.

These guides summarize published purchasing information. We have not conducted hands-on performance testing of the featured products, and do not present star ratings or claims of personal product experience.

Commercial links

We currently have no active affiliate links or display advertisements. Product links go to official vendor pages without commission tracking. If affiliate links are introduced, we will disclose that relationship beside the affected recommendations and update this page. Whether or not a vendor has an affiliate program, the stated costs and limitations must follow the source evidence.

Purchases and product support

Software purchases take place on the vendor’s website. The vendor handles payment, delivery, licenses, cancellations and technical support. This site does not sell software licenses or access customers’ vendor accounts.
